Car troubles can turn into a very stressful situation in a busy town or city. You could be obstructing the flow of traffic, delaying other road user and causing a build-up of queue.
Here what you can do to:
Try to get to a safe spot where your car is not obstructing traffic.
If your vehicle is causing an obstruction, turn your hazard warning lamps on to alert other road users.
Open your bonnet to show others that you have broken down.
Call Us. Let us know you require assistance.
Wait at a safe distance, away from your vehicle.
If you are experiencing a car trouble in a car park, don’t worry – you're not alone. Many drivers find themselves in similar situations such as, breakdowns in car parks.
The silver lining is that car parks are often one of the safest places to be when your vehicle lets you down.
Here is what you can do:
If you're not causing an obstruction, you don’t need to turn on your hazard lights.
If you're comfortable, you can leave the car and wait near the car park entrance for our arrival or set up a designated meeting point when our breakdown patrol or recovery operator calls you.
If you prefer to stay in the car, pop the bonnet up so we can easily spot you.
Double-check that your parking ticket is still valid or let a parking attendant know if it’s about to expire.
